Senior Legal Counsel

Homebase is seeking an ambitious and skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our Company. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring legal compliance, managing risks, and providing expert legal guidance to support our company's growth and success.
This role will involve drafting and negotiating contracts, managing legal disputes, analyzing legal risks, and staying up to date with relevant laws and regulations. Upon joining Homebase, you will assume the following crucial responsibilities:
1. Legal compliance and risk management
- Stay informed about industry-specific regulations, laws, and legal developments affecting the proptech sector;
- Advise on compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices;
- Develop and implement effective legal policies, procedures, and guidelines.
2. Contract drafting and negotiation
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including investment agreements, licensing agreements, partnership agreements, and contracts to be signed with clients;
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address legal issues in contracts and products.
3. Corporate governance and compliance
- Advise on corporate governance matters and ensure compliance with corporate regulations and requirements;
- Support the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures;
- Assist in corporate transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, and fundraising activities.
4. Legal research and advice
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues affecting the proptech industry;
- Provide clear and practical legal advice to senior management and internal stakeholders, on a wide range of legal matters.
Yêu cầu ứng viên
We are looking for candidates who fulfill the following criteria:
- Based in HCMC;
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited law school;
- 7+ years of experience as an inhouse lawyer or working at a top tier law firm;
- Strong knowledge of contract law, real estate law, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance;
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and clearly explain complex legal concepts to non-legal professionals;
- Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of contracts;
- Experience in managing legal disputes and working with external counsel;
- Proven ability to provide strategic legal advice to senior management;
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
