Department: Legal / Corporate Governance
Report to: Group CEO
Location : Vietnam (support multi-country operations) with national and international travels
1. Job Purpose
- Provide legal advisory and compliance support for HIMEP’s operations across multiple countries, ensuring full compliance with local laws and minimizing legal risks in construction, MEP, and corporate activities.
2. Key Responsibilities
2.1 Legal Advisory
- Research and advise on applicable laws and regulations in countries where HIMEP operates
- Provide legal analysis and opinions on construction, EPC/MEP contracts, labor, tax, and investment
- Liaise with external legal counsels and law firms
2.2 Contract Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (construction, subcontract, procurement, etc.)
- Review and ensure contractual compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Maintain contract database and documentation system
2.3 Compliance & Governance
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes and ensure compliance across jurisdictions
- Support implementation of corporate governance policies and procedures
- Develop and update internal SOPs and compliance frameworks
2.4 Risk Management
- Identify and assess legal risks in business operations and projects
- Propose and implement risk mitigation measures
- Assist in dispute resolution, including claims management, and litigation/arbitration if required
2.5 Licensing & Regulatory
- Support licensing procedures (investment, construction, business licenses, etc.)
- Liaise with authorities and regulatory bodies
2.6 Reporting
- Prepare periodic legal and compliance reports
- Report key legal risks and contract issues to management.
Yêu cầu ứng viên
1. Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Law
2. Experience
- 2-5 years of legal experience (in-house or law firm)
- Experience in construction/MEP/EPC is a strong advantage
- Exposure to multi-country legal matters is preferred
3. Skills
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Contract drafting and negotiation
- Risk assessment and problem-solving
- Cross-cultural communication
4. Language
- Fluent in English (mandatory), other languages (Chinese) are preferred.
