QUALIFIED LAWYER
Specialized in Construction Law / Alternative Dispute Resolution
Regarding the rapid expansion of its practice in Construction and Alternative Dispute Resolution. Forvis Mazars’ law firm is searching for a Qualified lawyer for its office in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City.

The Qualified Lawyer will be involved in major international construction projects providing legal advice to different stakeholders (Employers, Contractors, Subcontractors, Design firms, Inspection agencies, etc.) in a wide range of industries (Railways, Infrastructure, Water, Power & Energy, etc.)
The Qualified Lawyer’s main duties will consist of two (2) aspects:
- Project Development - Construction Project & Energy: Providing practical advice on construction projects and assistance on operational matters. Handling all aspects of international contractual work, from negotiation to drafting, supporting clients’ day-to-day operations (claims, variations, suspensions, bank guarantees, etc.) and strategic business activities.
- Alternative Dispute Resolution (“ADR”): Participating in the entire alternative dispute resolution process on construction projects (Dispute Avoidance/Adjudication Boards, Arbitration), including risks analysis, drafting (notice of arbitration, statement of claim/defense, preparation of the exhibits, written submission, etc.), attendance at hearings.
The Qualified Lawyer will work in a multi-cultural team, led by Vietnamese and international lawyers. He/She may also have to work on other legal aspects (labor, corporate, real estate, compliance, etc.) from time to time

Background/Skills:
- A qualified Lawyer in Vietnam
- The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ working experience either in practice or in-house on construction projects/ADR, gained in a leading law firm and/or in-house
- Knowledge of international model construction contracts (FIDIC, Red Book, Yellow Book, etc.)
- Previous experience on ADR (SIAC and/or VIAC and/or DAAB)
- Excellent English written communication and drafting skills
- Foreign education is a plus
- Foreign language proficiency is a plus
