We’re looking for an HR Manager. This role is equivalent to a founding HR position and reports directly to the board of executives.
Our team is young, fast-growing, and made up of 60+ curious, hardworking individuals. As we scale, we’re looking for someone to help build a strong, people-first culture and lay the foundation for a high-performing organization.
You’ll lead both strategy and execution, from owning core HR systems like onboarding, performance management, internal communications, and skills training. You’ll also manage compensation and benefits, ensure compliance with labor laws, and implement reliable systems for maintaining employee data.
This is a rare opportunity to build from the ground up. We’re looking for a hands-on leader who brings structure to ambiguity, listens well, and leads by doing, not by pointing fingers.

Main Responsibilities:
- Recruiting
- Develop and implement recruiting strategies aligned with business goals
- Manage the full recruiting pipeline, including resource planning, sourcing, coordinating events, and managing referral processes
- Execute creative sourcing efforts: direct outreach, networking, online channels, and social media
- Lead employer branding initiatives across LinkedIn, recruiting platforms, the company website, and social media channels
- Partner with department heads to align hiring strategies with headcount planning
- Coach and support hiring managers, especially first-time managers, through the full recruiting process
- People Operations & Compliance:
- Manage new hire orientation and support onboarding to ensure smooth integration into WeLAST’s culture
- Conduct offboarding processes, identify trends, and share insights to inform leadership decisions
- Oversee tax, social, health, and unemployment insurance processes, ensuring timely and compliant administration
- Stay up to date with Vietnam’s tax regulations, labor laws, and social insurance frameworks to ensure full compliance across HR operations
- Design and manage performance assessment processes (e.g., probation, appraisals, promotions) to align with business goals, and support managers in carrying them out effectively
- Define and monitor key people metrics such as employee satisfaction, retention, and turnover
- Lead employee engagement efforts and shape company culture through meaningful programs and initiatives; gather feedback to assess effectiveness, adjust as needed, and report key insights to leadership
- Proactively address employee relations and workplace concerns with fairness and sound judgment, while keeping leadership informed and aligned on key issues
- Develop, update, and clearly communicate HR policies and procedures
- Team Management:
- Manage, mentor, and support growth of the HR team
- Oversee team workflows and ensure alignment with company values and goals
- Recognize achievements and address performance issues effectively
- Design and implement training programs tailored to business needs and market trends.
Yêu cầu ứng viên
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of Vietnam’s labor laws, personal income tax regulations, and social insurance policies
- 5 – 7 years of HR generalist experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Proven ability to source and hire senior and leadership-level talent
- Solid understanding of recruiting channels and talent markets, particularly in Hanoi
- Experience in ecommerce tech startups is a strong plus
- Skilled in using workflow and collaboration tools such as Lark Suite
- Experience with HRIS, ATS, or other HR technologies is a plus, but not required
- Demonstrated experience building and executing employer branding strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels
- High emotional intelligence and sound judgment, with the discretion to handle sensitive matters
- Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and negotiation skills.
