Venture North Law (VNLaw) is seeking applicants for the position of legal intern/trainee in our Hanoi office. We would appreciate and welcome all qualified candidates.
- Preparing, reviewing and revising various documents and conducting various legal researches.
- Translating legal documents (Vietnamese and English)
- Other legal tasks

1. Legal writing test
1.1 Background: You are advising the Respondent to an ongoing arbitration proceeding at Vietnam International Arbitration Center (VIAC). Due to covid-19 lock down order, the Respondent failed to submit its Statement of Defence to VIAC during the time required by VIAC rules. In the Statement of Defence, the Respondent objected to the Tribunal’s jurisdiction over the dispute. However, the Tribunal rejects the Respondent’s objection to the Tribunal’s jurisdiction on the sole ground that the SOD was submitted late. The Respondent just receives the Tribunal’s rejection and asks for your advice.
1.2 Questions:
1.2.1 Please advise the next steps that the Respondent can take; and
1.2.2 Please advise the grounds (if any) that the Respondent can challenge the Tribunal’s rejection.
How to apply?
1 Please submit your application before 30 July 2022 including:
1.1 the answers to questions at 1.2;
1.2 a cover letter specifying the position that you are applying; and
1.3 your Curriculum Vitae including at least the following:
(a) name, address and year of birth;
(b) profile picture; and
(c) education background and extra-curriculum activities since high school; and
(d) a short write up about what you expect from being a lawyer.
