Cuộc thi viết thư quốc tế UPU (Universal Postal Union Letter-Writing Competition) là một cuộc thi thường niên do Liên minh Bưu chính Thế giới (UPU) tổ chức từ năm 1971, dành cho các bạn trẻ dưới 15 tuổi trên toàn thế giới. Cuộc thi Viết thư Quốc tế UPU lần thứ 54 năm 2025 đã chính thức được phát động vào ngày 11 tháng 11 năm 2024, với chủ đề: "Tưởng tượng bạn là đại dương. Hãy viết một bức thư cho ai đó giải thích lý do và cách họ nên làm để chăm sóc, bảo vệ bạn thật tốt." Tiếng Anh là: “Imagine you are the ocean. Write a letter to someone explaining why and how they should take good care of you”.

Tiền thưởng từ các cuộc thi có phải đóng thuế thu nhập cá nhân không?

Căn cứ vào quy định tại khoản 6 Điều 3 Luật Thuế thu nhập cá nhân 2007 (được sửa đổi, bổ sung bởi khoản 2 Điều 2 Luật Sửa đổi các Luật về thuế 2014) và điểm d khoản 1 Điều 15 Thông tư 111/2013/TT-BTC, thu nhập từ các cuộc thi có thưởng sẽ chịu thuế thu nhập cá nhân nếu giá trị giải thưởng vượt quá 10 triệu đồng.

Như vậy, đối với thu nhập từ giải thưởng cuộc thi có thưởng thì thu nhập tính thuế thu nhập cá nhân sẽ được tính theo từng lần lĩnh thưởng. Giá trị tiền thưởng bằng toàn bộ số tiền thưởng vượt trên 10 triệu đồng mà người chơi nhận được chưa trừ bất cứ một khoản chi phí nào.

Theo đó, khi nhận giải thưởng từ trên 10 triệu đồng thì phải nộp thuế thu nhập cá nhân.

Thu nhập chịu thuế thu nhập cá nhân không bằng tiền phải được quy đổi ra Đồng Việt Nam như thế nào?

Căn cứ khoản 2 Điều 6 Luật Thuế thu nhập cá nhân 2007 quy định như sau:

Quy đổi thu nhập chịu thuế ra Đồng Việt Nam

...

2.Thu nhập chịu thuế nhận được không bằng tiền phải được quy đổi ra Đồng Việt Nam theo giá thị trường của sản phẩm, dịch vụ đó hoặc sản phẩm, dịch vụ cùng loại hoặc tương đương tại thời điểm phát sinh thu nhập.

Theo đó, thu nhập chịu thuế thu nhập cá nhân nhận được không bằng tiền phải được quy đổi ra Đồng Việt Nam theo giá thị trường của sản phẩm, dịch vụ đó hoặc sản phẩm, dịch vụ cùng loại hoặc tương đương tại thời điểm phát sinh thu nhập.
