JOB SUMMARY:
- Ensure legal and compliance issues of the company in Vietnam;
- Review and ensure that the company’s standard legal documentation is legally binding, valid and enforceable and complies with the standard of the Group and laws and regulations in Vietnam; also provide legal opinions for non-standard documentation;
- Review and advise management on legal and compliance implications of internal policies and procedures;
- Serve as center for any regulation updates and assist Head of Legal to implement adequate compliance controls in relation to new legal & regulatory developments;
- Serve as a coordinator with regulators and relevant units on compliance issues and a coordinator with regulatory auditors examining operation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Leader Role:
- Provide guidance and coach to the junior staff resources in the legal department when required.
*Legal Risk:
- Acting as a Legal Business Partner, strategically support business growth
- Review and provide legal advice on corporate matters.
- Review ongoing cases and advice management accordingly.
- Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate
courses of action have been taken.
- Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management especially on contract management.
- Provide and interpret legal information, conduct training and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to staff.
* Policy Development:
- Review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
- Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.
* Litigation Management:
- Review progress of outstanding litigation and liaise with and manage external lawyers.
- On behalf of the Company to manage and work with competent Courts, attend the Court hearing when required.
* Stakeholders:
- Work closely with Group's Legal team and external law firms.
Yêu cầu ứng viên
- At least 8 years experience as Legal Supervisor/Manager; or at least 5 years experience Legal & Compliance Manager;
- Experience in relevant industries will be considered as a preference.
- Knowledge of corporate laws, investment laws, operation, and local authorities’ regulations as well as the changing regulatory environment. Knowledge of Manufacturing laws and regulations will be preferred.
- Ability to manage high-level relationships and to act as the company’s representative;
- Good communication and influencing skills in English and Vietnamese;
- Ability to handle multi-tasks, prioritize and work independently under pressure;
- Ability to build long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
