Textiles are encountered by man in every conceivable area of life: in fashion, sports and recreation, as home and domestic textiles, floor coverings, or in architecture. Since 1852 Groz-Beckert accompanies machine builders and companies in the textile industry. Over time, Groz-Beckert developed from a mere producer of knitting and warp knitting machine needles to the most significant system supplier in the textile sector. Today, the product portfolio encompasses also weaving accessories, machines for weaving preparation, felting and structuring needles, carpet machine components, products for carding as well as sewing and shoe machine needles.

Numerous innovations and patents, decades-long dialogue with customers, machine builders, research institutes and universities as well as unique production know-how are what distinguish Groz-Beckert. A close-meshed distribution network in over 150 countries and production sites in Germany, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Portugal, the USA, India, China, and Vietnam as well as nearly 8,800 employees guarantee a worldwide presence. All the threads of the family-owned company come together at the headquarters in Albstadt, Germany. The machines for the production of needles and precision parts are constructed and built in-house.
