The back office department of Mathpresso Vietnam is planning to establish a new legal team, in collaboration with the CFO of the Vietnam team. The legal team will prioritize proactively detecting and strategically mitigating legal risks with the assistance of the head office legal team and external legal counsel.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Contract Management and Partnership
- Manage existing business partnership contracts and draft/review new contracts
- Assess risks associated with new business ventures and design safe operational structures.
2. Compliance and Documentation
- Review and document website terms of service and compliance with relevant laws (such as personnel data protection laws).
- Update governmental reporting/registration documents, such as ERC and IRC.
3. Risk Assessment and Response
- Respond to external legal risks as they arise.
- Identify potential legal risks and develop phased mitigation plans.
Yêu cầu ứng viên
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or Business, or related fields from a recognized institution.
- At least 2 years of experience in a FDI corporate legal department or law firm which is based on global firms or collaborate with foreign customers.
- Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, particularly within the education, or e-commerce sectors.
- Proficient in English communication
- Strong understanding of Vietnamese commercial and corporate law.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance, especially regarding data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, local data protection regulations).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze legal documents and contracts thoroughly.
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous experience in a multinational corporation, startup environment or rapidly growing company.
- Participating M&A project or financing contract over than 1 billion VND.
