** BROAD FUNCTION OF JOB: The job holder is responsible for provision of legal advisory services and ensuring effective management of legal and contractual risks.
** DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Legal risk:
1. Review on tender documents, ongoing cases and other documentation to identify legal risk.
2. Advise relevant divisions/ departments on appropriate courses of action for legal protection and risk management, especially on contract management.
3. Provide and interpret legal information to relevant divisions/ departments, keeping them updated with legal issues.
* Policy development
4. Review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
5. Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.
* Litigation advice
6. Advise superior(s) on progress of outstanding litigation and establish a good relationship with lawyers.
* Regulatory compliance
7. Formulate compliance check-lists to avoid the missing of any requirement.
8. Monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly.
* Contract negotiation
9. Prepare, review and modify contractual instruments to assist and support various business activities.
10. Negotiate to draft and conclude documentation for business transactions.
* Administrative duties:
11. Legal advisory and contracts management - 50%
12. Regulatory support - 30%
13. Risk management - 20%
Yêu cầu ứng viên
• Bachelor Degree with Law major;
• At least 06-year legal experience, ideally in a leading organization with a proven track record in contract negotiation and drafting;
• Proven track record of providing accurate and effective legal counsel;
• Proven track record of adding value to an organization through the development of comprehensive contract documents that mitigate risk and penalties;
• Strong self-managerial skills;
• Excellent communication skills necessary for interaction with the Government/Subsidiary of the Government and Lawyers;
• Ability to provide independent advice (orally and in writing) to senior management level;
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory law; and
• Knowledge of the legal aspects (Retail market should be favorable).
