We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legal Officer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company’s legal and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for a wide range of legal tasks, including contract drafting and review, license acquisition and renewal, regulatory compliance, and general legal counsel.

Scope of work

a) Contract Management

● Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and lease agreements.

● Ensure contracts are compliant with applicable laws and regulations.

● Monitor contract performance and manage contract disputes.

b) Licensing and Permits

● Obtain, renew, and maintain all necessary licenses and permits required for the company’s operations.

● Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure compliance with all licensing requirements.

● Manage the license renewal process and coordinate with relevant government agencies.

c) Regulatory Compliance

● Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including alcohol beverage laws, food safety regulations, and environmental regulations.

● Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments.

● Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.

d) Product Registration

● Manage the product registration process, including obtaining necessary approvals and certifications.

● Ensure product labeling and packaging comply with all relevant regulations.

e) Legal Research and Analysis

● Conduct legal research and analysis on a variety of legal issues.

● Provide legal advice and guidance to the management team.

f) Administrative Tasks

● Maintain accurate records of legal documents and correspondence.

● Prepare legal reports and presentations.

● Assist with other legal and administrative tasks as needed.

● Bachelor’s degree in law and related fields.

● Language proficiency: fluent in English, all 4 skills.

● Minimum 2 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the alcohol beverage industry or a related field. 

● Strong understanding of contract law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.

● Experience in dealing with government agencies and regulatory bodies.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
