JOB BRIEF:
Maison Retail is operating over 100+ stores across the country under franchising business of 24 brands that includes premium brands to mass namely Dsquared2, MLB, Coach, Charles&Keith, Pedro, Lush etc. Corporate Legal & Compliance Department has always been a cornerstone in management board advisory in term of consulting and monitoring Company activities. As a candidate to Corporate Legal Specialist position, you are expected to be a person of sound judgment and able to establish high level of credibility in a fast paced, intellectually rigorous environment. Corporate Legal Specialist plays important role in the Legal & Compliance Department functions and shall be collaborative team player with the ability to deliver creative and pragmatic solutions and advice.

3. Major external communications: counterparts, government agencies, law firms
DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Conduct legal researches, update and keep alert of legal changes in relevant legislation governing the Company’s business operation.
2. Consult, carry out and follow up application dossiers for any required procedures/licenses of Company.
3. Draft/review contract, agreements, arrangements, official letter and other documents arising from Company’s business operation.
4. File and manage Company document records including licenses, permits, approvals, contracts, agreements etc. of Company and extract information whenever reasonably requested by stakeholders.
5. Inspect Company activities and give legal advice to functional departments and divisions to ensure that all activities and policies of Company comply with applicable laws and regulations.
6. Check, supervise and evaluate the performance of Company in accordance with internal rules and procedures, the law and give advice to Direct superior.
7. Handle, involve and/or engage in coordination with external parties (including business partners, law firms and state agencies) in term of claim/dispute/inspection resolving from business partners/ state agencies.
8. Submit and report legal issues and risks of Company to Manager or Direct superior to ensure that appropriate actions will be taken where legal risks have been identified.
9. Other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by Manager or Direct superior.

- Major in Law/Commercial Law with minimum03 yearsof legal experience working on law services and/or in retail or manufacturing industry at a full time position;
- Familiar with and having practical experience in Investment Law, Enterprise Law, Commercial Law, Labor Law, IP Law;
- Having experiences in dealing with the authorities;
- Ability to clearly organize and inform through good written and verbal communications;
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Working under pressure, ability to manage multiple deadlines, good organizing and time-management skills.
- Excellent ability to analyse problems and come up with practical, workable solutions;
- Strong analytical, logical and problem solving skills.
- MS office well-trained, ability to utilize AI tools is preferable.

4. Financial:
- Contribute to the revenue-generating/cost-controlling activities of the team.
- Know the team’s revenue/budget performance in an ongoing basis.
- Fully be aware of saving the resources of the company including manpower, tangible and intangible assets and overhead resources of the company.
5. Operational:
- Follow company’s processes, procedures, and policies (PPPs).
- Be proactive and resolve issues or escalate those being over-authorized to respective superior.
- Maintain the security and safety of the office, employees and guests by keeping a watchful eye on the office, ensure all entrances are guarded or closed and locked at all times.
