Mô tả công việc

1. BASIC FUNCTION

  • To manage/organize daily, weekly, & monthly purchasing and planning plans for the production (Work Order) to support customer order and providing a professional service to ensure PMC staff’s activities to meet and exceed customer requirements in areas of organizations responsiveness, support (raw material and component purchasing and product planning), storing material, and material import, export and or delivery to customers.
  • Monitor the activity of purchasing raw material and components and material supply to production in a timely manner while supporting both internal and external vendor and customers and maintaining a high quality standard. Facilitate engineering requirement related to sample, pilot running function.

2. WORK PERFORMED

  • PMC Manager ensures necessary materials plans are in the right place at the right time and in the most cost effective way. This job covers all facets of material movement, from planning and forecasting to shipping and receiving. Review Purchasing Plan and Production Plan to ensure that the plans will meet the objectives and needs of Company and its clients.
  • Coordinate the AFOC Logistic Officer, purchasing, production planning, and production to ensure that products delivery to meet customers’ needs.
  • Manage department’s activities to ensure that manufactured product, component materials, resale items and product services are supplied in accordance with customer and company quality and delivery requirements at the minimum possible cost to maximise company performance and profitability.
  • Follow up with PMC supervisors to analyse material flow, products produce, and/or order delivery that are delinquent to establish recovery dates and report delinquencies and deficiencies to management.
  • Review backlog reports for MTD (month-to-date) to ensure continuity with Sales Order acknowledgements and Company software system.
  • Managing surplus disposal in the most optimized manner.
  • Manage inventory control group in areas of inventory accuracy, inventory levels against targets, On Time and Full Shipping, Minimization of Waste and Scrap, Manufacturing Cost analysis and budget control.
  • Providing accurately forecast material needs and plan the processes for timely fulfilment. Draws up forecasts by determining customer needs and analysing historical data such as material use, depletion and sales. Works with Sales, Operations to schedule timely plan of needed materials.
  • Liaise with local vendors, external manufacturing divisions and production Managers on manufacturing; quality and external supply issues that directly impact on the manufacturing process.
  • Investigate local and overseas sources of supply and develop new business relationships to improve and cost reduce raw materials, products, services and improve overall supply channels.
  • Identifying and developing relationships with suppliers is another aspect of a PMC Manager’s job. Effective relationships are necessary to meet material cost, quality and delivery standards. Negotiating with suppliers and vendors is a regular job requirement.
  • Liaise with QA department reviewing supplier’s performance, continuously evaluating vendor ability to meet order requirements and contract specifications. In dealing with suppliers, PMC Manager stays true to company purchasing policies and legal obligations.
  • Coordinate the activities of Material Procurement section and Production Planning section, with site and other support groups, to ensure schedules and material control plans are fully integrated within the project organization. This includes inventory management and control, supply chain improvement, material planning & the short and long term day to day resolution of supply chain issues including resolution of material availability, transportation and logistics issues.
  • Working closely with Purchasing, QA and various Engineering Disciplines in procurement activities specifically relating to defining company's material requirements and in monitoring vendor performance in meeting these needs. This includes driving materials procurement, tracking and inventory planning through the plant purchasing group, vendor selection and development, building vendor relationships as required to assure performance, cost and lead-time requirements. Interface with clients as required in areas of material forecasting, demand planning, and operational planning.
  • Provide timely responses to expedite requests from Sales, Customer Service Officer. Work additional hours as required, to assure product available in a timely, often expeditious, manner.
  • Coordinate with Production department to provide the production schedule with Customer Service Dept.,

Education Level Required

  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field Materials managers

Experience Required

  • Requires Self-motivated professional and sound Management skills combined with relevant practical PMC experience of 3 to 4 years or more.

Knowledge Required

  • A high level of understanding and ability in the areas of Production Inventory Planning, Purchasing, Logistics and Inventory Materials control combined with effective Management, communication skills and sound product knowledge.
  • Knowledge of computers, spreadsheets and database software and experience with MRP software, and Proficient in MRP systems. Macola a plus.
  • Understanding of best practices in procurement technology. Analytical, problem solving, negotiating and finance skills are also important.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the company;
  • Writing in English and fluency in Vietnamese.
