PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB
Responsible for ensuring that the legal affairs of the Company are handled appropriately and in accordance with government laws.
This position will fullfil the need of thorough legal consultancy and compliance in several aspects mainly:
- Customs
- Power supply
- Investment plans
- Local Project contracts
- Purchasing contracts
This position will effectively ensure legal conformity and minimize probability of exposure. The jobs of legal officer include following tasks which can be extended basing on actual work requirements.
* Provide legal advice:
- Provide legal opinions/ advice to internal departments on legal issues arising during company operations
- Handle in-progress legal issues of company
- Collaborate with management to devise efficient defense strategies
* Process documents:
- Participate in negotiation of contracts, agreements, and legal related documents if required
- Draft and solidify agreements/ contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights and legislative compliance
- Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization
* Perform research & Identify risks:
- Continuously research legal resources such as articles, codes, statutes, judical decisions to stay updated on all current laws and their changes
- Specify the impacts of changes on Company’s activity
- Give out legal recommendations to relevant departments on their works to fit with the updates
- Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advise on possible legal issues
* Legal representatives:
- Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust
- Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces
- Make legal reports as assigned
- Attend litigation or work with external lawyers if Company has to attend any courts
Yêu cầu ứng viên
- Education: Bachelor degree majored in law
- Language: Good English
- Interpersonal: Intelligent, Transparent, Eager to learn & deeply drive into new topics
- 5-7 year-experience (at law-firm, accountants office legal section (like KMPG / EY) or project development/ constructions). Preferably with international business experience (import/export, FDI)
- Professional knowledge: Demonstrate a proficient level of professional skill and/or knowledge in law and keep pace with developments and trends.
- Negotiation skill: Strong negotiation skills
- Accuracy: Accurate and careful working, with an eye to detail, focused on preventing mistakes.
- Interpersonal skills : Effective interaction with all levels of personnel, internal and external.
- Planning & organizing: Effectively determining objectives and priorities and indicating required time, actions and resources to be able to achieve certain objectives
