POSITION SUMMARY
Compliance & Legal Officer is responsible for coordinating, managing and measuring the effectiveness of all governance documentations, regulations and policies of VinUniversity. The candidate will also be responsible for other legal related duties as assigned.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Reports to: Human Resources Director
• Coordinate the formulation, implementation and/or amendment of internal regulations and policies and ensure the compliance with VinGroup regulatory requirements and legal requirements of government authorities.
• Design regulations templates and review and advise the draft regulations from other functions.
• Interpret regulations and policies affecting clerical and departmental operations; check legal references for correct citation.
• Organize internal audit for the implementation and effectiveness of the regulations and policies.
• Coordinate with legal consultations to analyze and advice in full cycle of matters related to policies and procedures at VinUni.
• Ensure that all the documents, materials regarding procedures involved VinUni comply with regulatory requirements of applicable national laws and regulations governing the university.
• Provide legal support in the preparation of affidavits, contracts, declarations, and derogation, depositions of VinUni expats.
• Conduct related internal coaching to departments to ensure appropriate action and documentation is on file.
• Draft and/or review legal letters, contracts and agreements and monitor legal obligations under agreements sent to government authorities related to VinUni’s activities.
• Other duties as assigned by the line manager.
COMPENSATION
The salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
• A Bachelor’s degree in Law (preferred) or Economics, Business management or other related field is required. Studying abroad, in an English speaking country, is an advantage.
• Profound knowledge of Corporate Law, Commercial Law, Business Law, Higher Education Law.
• Good knowledge of laws of VN and other countries where VinUni has involved is an advantage.
• Have Minimum of three (3) years' legal experience. Experience working at foreign companies or being experienced in constructing projects is an advantage.
• Excellent in Vietnamese and English (especially writing & reading skills).
• Master a coherent, progressive and creative thinking; to have a spirit and passion for education; to be able to take prompt actions with determination and be ready to take on new challenges.
• Demonstrate DNA of VinUni: Integrity, Inspiration, Impact, Innovation and Integration.
ENGLISH PROFICIENCY
English is the language of teaching and communication at Vin University. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS (Academic) with a score of at least 7.0.
