Purpose of Position:
The Officer, TC is responsible for understanding all the requirements related to social & product compliance, and quality audit area, and ensures that factories are trained and have the appropriate internal documents to be able to pass all audits and documentation requirements.
The Officer, TC conducts ethical sourcing, factory capability and capacity, and C-TPAT reviews at assigned factories, highlights violations, develops plans to resolve those violations, and works with the factory on implementing solutions to address any deficiencies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work individually and as a team to manage around 30 furniture factories located in Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An and Binh Phuoc.
• Completes initial validation reviews at new factories to determine their current compliance standing.
• Works alongside Factory personnel to make changes to the factory’s internal systems in order to address Corrective Action items. Trains factory personnel in proper procedures and document completion and retention.
• Trains factory on implementing System-wide processes and forms to address deficiencies in any factory management process.
• Notifies Sr. Management immediately when Zero Tolerance or Critical violations are discovered in a factory that could seriously affect Whalen’s relationship with its Customers or business operations.
• Fully understands the social compliance audit processes and is able to work with factories in order to help train and guide the factories towards successful completion of customer audits (Ethical Sourcing [ES] / Social Accountability [SA]).
• Understand US Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) requirements and how to train and guide factories to be in full compliance with all regulations (Global Security Verification [GSV] / C-TPAT).
• Understands the overall manufacturing process and is able to guide factories and company QC personnel in maintaining the factory quality system and its associated procedures, process, documentation and reports (Factory Capability and Capacity [FCCA] / Good Manufacturing Practices [GMP]).
• Understands the customer audit protocols and how factories need to meet these requirements.
• Completes ongoing training classes in order to keep up to date on all the current standards related to social and product compliance.
• Able to work with more than one targeted factory at a time, and implement the relevant systematic requirements for different factory based on various factory’s situations.
• Maintains day to day communication with their Supervisor, as necessary.
• Maintains 24 hour turn around response time for overseas communications.
• Compliance all policy, regulation of company and implement other tasks assigned by the Superior and Company.

Yêu cầu ứng viên

• Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent from four year college or university, or more than three years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Fluent in 4 skills of English.
• Knowing Chinese is a plus.
• Able to work in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong.
• At least 2- year experience in compliance, HR or EHS position.
• Understand social accountability, CTPAT and quality system.
• Must be detail oriented and able to work under pressure and with constant deadlines.
• Must have the ability to travel extensively and to work in factories for extended periods of time.
• SA8000, ISO9000, ISO14000 Certification are preferably
• Company car provided from Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong to factories in Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An and Binh Phuoc.
