We are seeking a skilled Middle Java Software Engineer to join our team for a healthcare project based in the US. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of scalable software solutions using Java technologies, with a focus on system design and cloud-based architectures. This role requires technical expertise and effective collaboration within the team to deliver high-quality applications that meet the standards of the US healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java 8+ and Spring Boot, ensuring scalability through robust system architecture for a US-based healthcare project.
• Build and implement RESTful APIs within a microservices framework to support healthcare-related functionalities.
• Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (K8S) for deployment and orchestration.
• Work with SQL (e.g., MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases to optimize data management, ensuring compliance with healthcare data standards.
• Integrate messaging systems like Kafka to support distributed systems in a healthcare context.
• Apply system design principles to architect reliable and maintainable solutions tailored to healthcare requirements.
• Leverage AWS services (e.g., S3, RDS, CloudWatch) for cloud-based application development and deployment, ensuring secure and efficient handling of sensitive healthcare data.
• Use Git for version control and collaborative development within the team.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, including code reviews, to ensure team alignment and quality deliverables for the healthcare project.
• Communicate effectively with team members to foster collaboration and project success.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional experience in software development with Java.
• Strong proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework.
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
• Knowledge of system design and architecture principles for scalable applications.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka and distributed systems.
• Experience in AWS (e.g., S3, RDS, CloudWatch) for cloud-based solutions.
• Proficiency in Git for version control.
• Ability to work effectively within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective team collaboration, especially given the project’s US-based context.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Exposure to caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis).
• Experience or familiarity with healthcare industry standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA compliance) is a plus.
