JOB PURPOSE:
Lead the Bridgestone Vietnam (Sales) Legal team and provide sound legal advice and legal support for all business operations, areas may include purchase, sales contracts, distributorship, marketing, service agreements, dispute resolution, employment, intellectual property, data privacy etc. This position will be a member of the Bridgestone global law department and will also be given opportunity to work with regional and global teammates in projects and day to day work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Review, advise, draft all agreement between the company and other third parties (eg. vendors and distributors)
Providing timely responses to business matters that might impact company's interests, including giving good advice to General Director and other stakeholders. As necessary, be involved in negotiations for contracts.

2. Provide legal advice:
Providing sound legal judgement and advice to balance company interests and maintain good relationships with both internal clients and customers. Proactively identify gaps or improvement areas and communicating with internal clients to see through such improvements, especially where process improvements can reduce legal risk for the company.

3. Licensing/ Law regulations update/Company policy
- To ensure that the Company's licenses are update and in compliance with the relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide timely updates on any new regulations or revised regulations which could affect company business or employees. To proactively keep abreast of changes to the industry. These could include needing to conduct training and/or assist with implement improvements to ensure continued compliance by the company or its employees.-
- Based on Company's business requirement, candidate will, working with the relevant departments, draft or review policies to ensure that the policies are clear and in an manner that is easy to understand by all employees. These can be policies required for business operations, compliance related policies and/or such other operational policies that can simplify workload and help manage unexpected risky issue.

4. Compliance and risk management efforts
Support all compliance initiatives, including launch of compliance policies, internal investigations, communication with stakeholders and any risk identification, assessment and/or mitigation efforts. The individual will also act as a point of contact for compliance issues and should be able to provide preliminary advice on compliance matters.

5. Working with Regional Team (BSCAP)
Candidate will be part of the BSCAP Regional Legal Team and will work closely with colleagues at the Regional Legal Team to further enhance the role and functionality of the Regional Legal Team. Candidate is expected to participate in and implement projects of the Regional Legal Team and projects instituted by the Global Legal Team.

6. People development:
Responsible for direct subordinate's career development by mentoring and training. Within the context of the Regional Legal Team, develop and enhance the skills and capabilities of the legal team to ensure deliverable of the legal tasks and target achievement.

Yêu cầu công việc

1. Education: Bachelor of Law Degree from a reputable university. Qualified to practice law in Vietnam.
2. Experience: Minimum 7 years experience of law firm experience or in an in-house legal role
3. Language: Excellent verbal and written both in Vietnamese and English skills

SKILLS:
Hard skills:
• Excellent knowledge of corporate laws and commercial laws​​​​​​
• Microsoft office skills. Experience in using any legal tech tools (eg. contract management system) is advantageous.
• Ability to handle and prioritise between multiple projects and assignments in a time pressured environment

Soft skills:
• Ability to work both as a team player and independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively. Experience working with persons from varied cultural backgrounds is advantageous.
• Proactive ability to take ownership, strong work ethic and sense of responsibility
• Practical and business-oriented approach and ability to stand firm on difficult positions
• Experience in dealing with local legal issues and/or reviewing and negotiating contracts
• Effective leadership and managerial skills. Previous managerial experience is advantageous
• Adaptability and willingness to learn
• High level of integrity, emotional maturity and respect for others
