BAT VIETNAM IS LOOKING FOR A LEGAL COUNSEL (7 Months Contract)
SENIORITY LEVEL: Mid-Senior Level
FUNCTION: Legal & External Affairs
SALARY RANGE: USD 2,500 - USD 3,500 + excellent benefits
LOCATION: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
Reports to: Senior Legal Counsel
Reporting Level: Senior Level
Geographic Scope: Local
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
• Providing legal opinions, advising legal/regulatory issues, preparing/finalizing legal documents for day-to-day works of corporate services including Operations, HR, IT, Supply Chain and Finance departments.
• Participating actively in problem-solving and decision-making in all areas of the business.
• In charge of compliance issues (such as record management, standards of business conducts and contract management policy) for the Company.
• In charge of company’s secretaries works for the Company including changing of key personnel and reports for these entities.
• Provide legal and corporate commercial advice on daily and ad hoc operational and business issues, in particular supporting the Senior Legal Counsel in his/her end market responsibilities in Vietnam.
• Providing supports and/or back-up to other legal counsels in BAT Vietnam legal department.
• Assisting junior members of the legal team and providing coaching and on job training to such subordinates to ensure the spirit of team work and motivation.
• Representing the Company in litigation in relation to corporate services (if any) as well as training and assisting in know-how development for the Company.
